Back to school...

My second year of law school has begun, and I am busier than I could have imagined. Mondays are my longest day, with classes from 8am to 5pm straight! That aside, I am glad to be back in school and enjoy my legal education.

Summer Plans

I am working as an extern for a lawyer in Salem. My cases range from personal injury law to civil liberties, and everything else you can think of! The cases that I am most interested in so far are the ones relating to juvenile law. Melanie Mansell (the attorney I work with) does court appointed work in Polk County Juvenile Court, so we get to handle things like juvenile criminal work, custody issues and adoptions. Needless to say, I have plenty to do this summer! Oh yeah, did I mention that I am also taking two classes? :-)

This is my school. Don't be fooled. It looks beautiful, but inside students fall victim to daily torture and suffer through final exams every semester!
